How hard is the switch from email, Google Drive or another portal?
Easier than staying. Aprio gives you guided support to help you switch over: you set up your board, and Aprio’s onboarding team (former board administrators themselves) works through it with you one-on-one, planned around your next board cycle. Your past minutes and packages can be uploaded into the library, and training for the secretariat or clerk of the board, governors and trustees is included.

What can we hand the auditor, the accreditor or the FOI coordinator?
Minutes, attendance records, voting results and e-signatures live in the Aprio portal and archive by date, with reports you pull yourself instead of reconstructing the record from email, and minutes export as PDF. Whether the request comes from your auditor, a CAIS or regional accreditor’s visiting team, or the FOI coordinator down the hall, the record you pull is the same: dated and exportable, with the permissions you set keeping the in camera record out of the open one.
Where is our data stored?
Aprio stores your data in your choice of Canada or the United States, on certified infrastructure (ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2). Aprio offers Canadian hosting: public institutions in Canada, whose records fall under FIPPA or MFIPPA in Ontario, or FOIPPA in BC, can confirm Canadian residency in the agreement. US districts, colleges and boards of regents can choose US hosting.
